Terms of Use
Effective 7 November 2026
These terms apply to the iPhone app TV Remote: Universal TV (“the app”), made by Ironlab Yazilim Ticaret Ltd Sti (“we”, “us”). They add to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. By using the app you agree to both. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
1. What the app does
The app turns your iPhone into a remote for smart TVs and streaming devices on the same Wi-Fi network. It uses the remote-control interfaces those devices offer on your home network. It has no infrared, so it can’t control a device that isn’t connected to your network.
Devices differ by maker, model, software version and settings. We can’t promise that every device, model or feature works, or keeps working after its maker changes the device’s software. Some features (such as turning a TV on, voice, the keyboard or opening apps) depend on what each device allows. The app shows a demo TV so you can try it before you buy.
2. Premium subscription
- Controlling a real TV needs Premium. The demo TV, the help pages and one test command to check your TV responds are free.
- Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, weekly or yearly. The weekly plan may start with a free trial if you are eligible. The price, the billing period and the trial length are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, with a free trial, when the trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in iOS Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or in the app under Settings › Premium. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- If you cancel during a free trial, you aren’t charged. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, the rest of the trial ends.
- Apple processes payments and refunds. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com or Settings › Premium › Request a refund in the app.
- If we ever change a price, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law requires it, asks for your consent.
3. Using the app
- Use the app only for your own personal, non-commercial use, and only with devices you own or are allowed to control.
- Don’t use the app to disturb other people’s devices, to get around security, or in breach of the law.
- Don’t copy, change, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.
4. Other companies’ services
Voice commands can use Apple speech recognition or your TV’s own assistant, and searches can open on YouTube on your TV. Those services, your TV’s software and any apps on it are provided by other companies under their own terms.
5. Not affiliated
The app is an independent product. It is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Samsung, LG, Sony, Roku, Google, Amazon, Vizio, TCL, Hisense, Philips or any other TV or streaming device maker. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe which devices the app works with.
6. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t give warranties of any kind, including that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted or compatible with your devices. This doesn’t limit any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be excluded.
7. Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.
8. Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. If a change matters, we’ll update this page and the date above before it applies. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it and cancelling your subscription.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in your local courts.
